Our Call (1):

Returning: to the Noble Qur’aan and the Prophetic Sunnah and understanding the both of them upon the methodology of the Pious Predecessors (i.e. that which our Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were upon). This is from the command of our Lord,

“And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad) after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers' way (i.e. the companions of the Prophet Muhammad). We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and enter him into Hell - what an evil destination(an –Nisaa: 115)

And

“So if they believe in the like of that which you believe, then they are rightly guided” (al-Baqarah: 137)

Purification: of the Muslims from (Shirk) polytheism and its various shades, cautioning them from innovation and foreign rejected practices and ideologies introduced by later generations into Islaam.   Purifying Islaam from baseless explanations of the Qur’aan that do not return to the understanding of our Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them). Purifying the Sunnah (the prophetic traditions) from weak and fabricated narrations, that has proven to destroy the clearness and purity of Islaam and has also proven to prevent the advancement of the Muslims. This shall be taken on those people of knowledge as the Messenger of Allah (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said,

“This knowledge shall be carried in each generation by those who repel the distortions of those who go too far, the misguidance of those who are astray, and the opinions of the ignorant.”

And follow the verse of Allah,

“And Help you one another in Al -Birr and At -Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression” (Maaidah: 2)

Cultivation and Education: of the Muslims upon the authentic Islaam. Calling them to practice its laws and adorn themselves with its virtues and manners, which we bring about for the pleasure of Allaah and will assure for them happiness and success. Assisting one another upon truth, in order that we may be considered to be from that group of people mentioned in the Qur’aan, who are saved from loss and destruction. Working in accordance to the verse,

“And recommend one another to the truth and recommend one another to patience” (Asr: 3)

And Allah’s command,

Be you Rabbaniyoon (learned men of religion who practice what they know and also preach others), because you are teaching the Book, and you are studying it."(Aali Imraan: 79)

Reviving: the correct Islaamic Beliefs and Scholastic Manhaj (methodology), in light of the Qur’aan and the Sunnah upon the way of the Pious Predecessors. Calling the people to the teaching of our Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him), in order to remove the stagnant state produced by the blind following of man-made schools of thought and ideologies. Removing the blind-tunneled vision of partisanship; this is unfortunately, a severe and sometimes-incurable virus, which controls the thinking of many of the Muslims, distancing them from the true Islaamic brotherhood. We do this following the verse,

“Hold on tight all of you to the rope of Allah and do not divide” (Ali ‘Imraan: 103)

And the statement of the Messenger (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him)

“And be all of you brothers”

Presentation: of realistic Islaamic solutions to contemporary problems, and strive to resume a true Islaamic way of life and to establish a true Islaamic society by way of consultation with the Scholars of Islaam.

Advancement: towards establishing a correct Muslim lifestyle and community starting with our homes upon the Prophetic methodology. Developing a scholastic and religious community. Implementing the rule of Allaah in the earth upon the methodology of tasfiyyah (purification) and tarbiyyah (education and cultivation) based upon Allaah saying,

And purifying them (from sins by their following him), and instructing them (in) the Book (the Qur'aan) and Al Hikmah [the wisdom and the Sunnah of the Prophet (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him)” (Aali Imraan 164)

From our Beliefs:

1. We believe in Allaah and in His Names and Attributes, as they were mentioned in the Book of Allaah and in the Sunnah of the messenger of Allaah, without tahreef (distortion, nor ta'weel (figurative interpretation ), nor tamtheel (likening) ,nor tashbeeh ( resemblance), nor ta'teel (denial).

2. We love the Companions of the Messenger of Allaah, and we hate those who speak against them. We believe that to speak ill of them is to speak ill of the Religion, because they are the ones who conveyed it to us. And we love the Family of the Prophet with love that is permitted by the Sharee'ah (Islaamic Law).

3.  We love the People of hadeeth and all of the Pious Predecessors of the Ummah from the People of the Sunnah.

4. We despise 'ilmul-kalaam (knowledge of theological rhetoric), and we view it to be from amongst the greatest reasons for the division in the Islaamic Nation.

5. We do not accept anything from the books of Fiqh (Islaamic Jurisprudence), nor from the books of Tafseer (explanation of the Qur'aan), nor from the ancient stories, nor from the Seerah (biography) of the Prophet, except that which has been confirmed from Allaah or from His Messenger. We do not mean that we have rejected them, nor do we claim that we are not in need of them.  Rather we benefit from the discoveries of our Scholars and the jurists and other then them. However, we do not accept a ruling, except with an authentic proof.

6. We do not write in our books, nor do we cover in our lessons, nor do we give sermons with anything except the Qur'aan, or the authentic and authoritive hadeeth. And we detest what emanates from the many books and admonishers in terms of false stories and weak and fabricated ahaadeeth.

7. We do not consider a Muslim to be a disbeliever due to any sin, except Shirk (polytheism) with Allaah, the abandonment of Prayer, or apostasy. We seek refuge in Allaah from that.

8. We believe that the Qur'aan is the Speech of Allaah, it is not created.

9. We hold that our obligation is to co-operate with the group that traverses the methodology of the book and the Sunnah, upon the understanding of our Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them); in terms of calling to Allaah the Glorified, and being sincere in worship of Him, and warning from Shirk (polytheism), innovations, and disobedience, and to advise all of the groups that oppose this, “So cooperating upon righteousness and piety (taqwaa) and mutual advising necessitates warning against evil and not co-operating with the wicked.”

10. We do not deem it correct to revolt against the Muslim rulers as long as they are Muslims, nor do we feel that revolutions bring about reconciliation. Rather, they corrupt the community.

11. We hold that this multiplicity of present day parties is a reason for the division of the Muslims and their weakness. So therefore we set about 'freeing the minds from the fetters of blind-following and the darkness of sectarianism and part spirit.'

12. We restrict our understanding of the Qur’an and the Sunnah  to the understanding of The Prophet Muhammad himself (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), his companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and that which coincides to it from the scholars of Hadeeth (Prophetic Traditions) and other Islaamic Sciences. We do not restrict our understanding of the Qur’an and the Sunnah to the blind-following of a specific school of thought.  Rather, we take the truth from wherever it comes. Furthermore, we acknowledge that there are those who claim to be upon the Sunnah, yet the Sunnah is free from them since they bring to the society what Allaah has prohibited. We believe in cultivating the young generation upon this Islaam, purified from all that we have mentioned, giving to them a correct Islaamic education.

13. We believe that politics is a part of the Religion, and those who try to separate Religion from politics are only attempting to destroy the Religion and to spread chaos.

14. We believe there will be no honor or victory for the Muslims until they return to the Book of Allaah and to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah.

15. We oppose those who divide the Religion into trivialities and important issues. And we know that this is a destructive call.

16. We oppose those who put down the knowledge of the Sunnah, and say that this is not the time for it. Likewise, we oppose those who put down acting upon the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah.

17. Our Call and Belief is more beloved to us than our own selves, our wealth and our offspring. So we are not prepared to part with it for gold, nor silver. We say this so that no one may have hope in buying out our call, nor should anyone think that is possible for them to purchase it from us for dollars and cents.

18. We love the present day Scholars of the Sunnah and hope to benefit from them and regret the passing away of many of them.

19. We do not accept a fatwa (religious verdict) except from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah.

20. We do not agree with nor condone any of the acts of Terrorism, Highjackings, Suicide Bomings, and Murder.  In fact we see these evil acts as corruption, tyranny and transgressions which are only carried out by criminals bent on the destruction of humanity.  Allah says,

"Whoever kills a person [unjustly]…it is as though he has killed all mankind. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved all mankind.” (Qur'an, 5:32)

Shaikh Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah Al-Ashaikh, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Committee of Senior Ulema [religious scholars] and Chairman of the Department of Scientific Research and Ifta [guidance], condemns terrorist bombings in the following statement:

"Killing and terrorizing innocent people and the destruction of property are not condoned by Islam.  Attributing all these horrific incidents to Islaam is unjust.  Muslims should tell the truth and unveil falseness, and inform all people that Islam is a religion of righteousness, betterment and progress. Islam is the final revelation that Allah chose for humankind to guide it from darkness to light.  Allah said:

“This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”

Our religion urges us to fulfill our obligations and prohibits us from abandoning such obligations. Allah said:

“O you who believe!  Fulfill your obligations.”

The unjust killing of a human being in Islam is forbidden.  Allah said:

“And kill not anyone whom Allah has forbidden except for a just cause.”

Corruption on earth is considered a major sin in Islam.  Allah said:

“And of mankind there is he whose speech may please you in this worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to that which is in his heart, yet he is the most quarrelsome of the opponents.  And when he turns away from you, his effort in the land is to make mischief therein and to destroy the crops and the cattle, and Allah likes not mischief.  And when it is said to him ‘Fear Allah,’ he is led by arrogance to more crime.  So enough for him is Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest.”
